Corset 27 by Aatospaatos Corset 27 by Aatospaatos
I finally did some corsets for Supia~ The pattern is a bit trickier than the one I did for Soom, this has more parts and I tried making them even more realistic when compared to real corsets.

Corset made for Supia old type female body by me.

Fits these molds:
~Supia old type female body
~Probably similar 58cm dolls

This is a prototype.

~Corset is made of cotton
~It has white cotton lining to prevent staining
~Full boning
~Adjustable lacing back
~New improved eyelets with washers

On sale in etsy.

Awesome! The details look really good, and I'm loving the rows of lacing. (Though why these pretty babies need boned corsets for their eternally perky figures, I do not know -gets shot-)

Thank you! The bones just help the corset to stay in a better shape, it won't sag when pulled tight etc. :D

I heard that this Supia model fits SD16 also very well. I'm hoping to get some pictures of it someday from a friend.

Wow, this would be amazing enough if it was made for a human, but it's almost unbelievable that it's for a doll. Great job! The design is beautiful and the execution is flawless.

this is really pretty! but just a question, and please forgive me if i sound stupid, but... what exactly is the point of a corset? i mean, i know they shape your body and stuff, but that was back in the middle ages/renaissance. why do we need them now?

Because it looks nice? Dolls don't usually have that realistic proportions anyway, so I think it looks pretty good and fitting with a corset. There's no deeper meaning, I just think that they are aesthetically pleasing.

an excellent answer!! i was just wondering, because i saw a girl walk by in my dorm and she was wearing a corset with a shirt underneath of it, and i was just curious if it had a function, and if so whether it was or wasn't expressly for a fashion statement.

Corsets do help with keeping better posture, so for example some people who have to sit all the time at work wear them because of that too. Wearing some kind of shirt or a tube top is also wise with corsets so the corset doesn't get dirty, it's much easier to just wash the shirp/top than the corset.

I would wear a corset like that in real life. It's beautifully crafted, and it definitely takes time and patience to make something like this. I don't think this is a waste of time though. You obviously enjoy doing this, and honestly I think if I could do this, I would too~ Very good work, you deserved the DD.

Hi, I am not into dolls or doll's clothing, nor corsets unless worn by the missus. I just want to say that as I was looking through the items, this stuck out. The attention to detail is incredible. You deserve that DD. Congrats. That is impressive work

Sadly no, it's pretty much impossible to make a fitting corset if you don't have the actual body to work with, and I don't own a ipledoll. I'm going to get YID someday but probably not anytime soon.
